Quick answers: can you release Suno, Udio and Eleven Music songs?

Can I upload Suno songs to Spotify? Yes, if you made the song on a paid Suno plan (Pro or Premier) and took a permitted download; Suno's terms limit free-plan songs to personal, non-commercial use. You upload through a distributor that accepts AI music, not to Spotify directly.

Does DistroKid accept AI music? Yes. DistroKid's policy accepts music made with AI tools if you own the rights, don't imitate anyone's voice or identity and don't mass-upload; you say at upload which parts are AI.

Can I put Suno songs on YouTube and monetise them? You can upload them, and YouTube asks you to mark generated music as altered or synthetic content. Monetisation depends on YouTube's rules against mass-produced and repetitive content, and several distributors leave AI tracks out of YouTube Content ID.

Can I release Udio songs? Not at the moment: Udio disabled downloads after its October 2025 settlement with Universal Music, so there is no file to send to a distributor.

Can I release Eleven Music tracks? From the Creator plan up, Eleven Music's terms allow streaming distribution; the Free and Starter plans don't.

Is Suno music copyrighted? Suno's terms assign its rights in paid-plan songs to you, but that doesn't create copyright the law doesn't grant: the US Copyright Office says prompts alone don't make you the author, while your own lyrics and edits can be protected.

Tips that work

  • Make the songs you plan to release on a paid plan, and keep the download
  • Pick a distributor that accepts AI music and tick its AI question honestly
  • Keep your lyrics, prompts and project files as proof of your part

Common mistakes

  • Releasing a song made on a free plan
  • A voice or title that imitates a real artist
  • Uploading dozens of near-identical tracks at once

Frequently asked questions

Can I upload Suno songs to Spotify?

Yes, if the song was made on a paid Suno plan and you took a permitted download. You release it through a distributor that accepts AI music and disclose the AI use at upload. Songs made on Suno's free plan are for personal, non-commercial use.

Which distributors accept AI music?

As of the date shown on this page, DistroKid, RouteNote, UnitedMasters, Amuse, LANDR and Ditto accept AI music with conditions, TuneCore only takes music from licensed AI models, and CD Baby doesn't accept AI-generated content. The checker shows which stores each one leaves out.

Can I release a song with an AI voice that sounds like a famous singer?

No, not without that artist's permission. Spotify only allows vocal impersonation the artist has authorised, and distributors ban imitating someone's voice, name or identity.

Is this legal advice?

No. The checker summarises each company's published policy as of the date shown. For a specific deal or dispute, talk to a lawyer.
